Cold Feet is the perfect antidote for those unfortunate sufferers of chilled metatarsi as this lively rag is ensured to intoxicate the listener to such an extent that involuntary toe-tapping generally ensues. Written entirely if F-major it has an AABBACC form whereby the melodies are shared by the descant and 1st tenor voices. The cover of the original sheet music appropriately shows a pair of nicely turned feet and ankles clad with pink polka-dot stockings imperfectly protected from the snowy background by open red high-heeled dancing slippers. A chilblain promoter if ever there was one!
Cold Feet was published by J.W. Jenkins' Sons Music Co., Kansas City, Missouri, USA.
A tempo of 150 crotchets/min. is suggested.
There is also a quintet version of this item.
