Length: approx. 3¼ mins. Sounds best with the 1st tenor doubled.
The cover of the original sheet music advertises that I Love It was Harry von Tilzer's successor to The Cubanola Glide (1909) and a fantastic rag two-step which it certainly was. Its form is ABACCBB with a 4-bar introduction and 4-bar interludes between the AB- and CB-strains. The ABA- and CCBB-strains are written in the major keys of C and F respectively. The key to this composition is to follow the composer's wishes and to take it slow and evenly. Easier said than done as one is readily seduced by the free-flowing passages to step up the pace.
I Love It was published by Harry von Tilzer Music Pub. Co., New York, USA.
A tempo of 80 crotchets/min. is suggested.
