Length: approx. 4 mins. Sounds best if 2nd tenor is doubled.
Crazy Bone Rag is a straightforward rag presenting no great difficulties for medium recorder ensembles. Should the 2nd tenor be doubled, it sounds a little better if the doubling voice only plays the lower notes in chords. How this piece came to its title is lost in mists of ragtime history. The cover suggests crazy paving and what the two candles imply is anybody's guess added to which not a bone, sane or otherwise, is in sight!
Crazy Bone Rag was published by F.J.A. Forster Music Publisher, Chicago, Illinois, USA.
A tempo of 75 crotchets/min. is suggested.
