Length: approx. 3¾ mins. Sounds best with the bass doubled.
Dynamite, subtitled "noisy", is certainly an explosive rag living up to its pictorial promise as illustrated on the front cover of the original sheet music. Its form is AABBACCBB with a 4-bar introduction whereby the AABBA- and CCBB-strains are written in the major keys of C and F respectively. In this adaptation for recorder quintet, the A-strain is a delightful treble solo whilst the B- and C-strains are characterised by thumping "noisy" 3-note chords where all join in. A great ensemble piece!
Dynamite was published by Will Rossiter, Chicago, Illinois, USA.
A tempo of 80 crotchets/min. is suggested.
