According to the Internet source given below, Hermann Regner is a German composer born in Marktoberdorf/Allgäu. He studied at the Leopold Mozart Conservatorium in Augsburg and matriculated in conducting and composition. He then studied musicology and folklore at the University of Munich becoming D.Phil. with a dissertation on "Time-change folk dances from the Swabian Basin". He lectured at the Music College in Trossingen from 1958 to 1964.and was Professor for Music Education at the Orff-Institute of the Mozarteum University in Salzburg between 1964 and 1993.
Since then he is active as a free-lance composer as well as being a consultant and leader for seminars and workshops in many countries. A composer of many works for orchestra, wind band, piano, violoncello, choir and chamber groups. He also the author of books, articles, radio programmes and films on music educational themes.
