According to the Internet source given below, Anton Profes was an Austrian pop and film composer born in Leitmeritz , Bohemia.
He studied musicology in Prague. and was Kapellmeister in Karlsbad , Dortmund , Elberfeld , Königsberg , Stuttgart , Hamburg and Berlin between 1916 and 1921. Amongst his songs he is principally remembered for his Am Sonntag will mein Süßer mit mir segeln gehen, Kauf Dir einen bunten Luftballon and Was macht der Maier am Himalaya?. He composed the music for over a 100 films including that for the Sissi trilogy (1955-1957, directed by Ernst Marischka ).He died in Salzburg.
