According to the Internet source given below, Luis [Lewis] Mercy [Merci] was a naturalized English recorder player and composer of works for the recorder.
He arrived in England in 1708 and his Opus I was published in 1718. H e was in the service of James Brydges, Earl of Carnarvon and later Duke of Chandos until 1719. Futher works were published in 1720, 1735 and 1745..
