According to The New Penguin Dictionary of Music, Wilfrid [Howard] Mellers was an English writer on music, professor of music at York (1964-1981), and composer of orchestral works, Latin motets for chorus and brass, songs, cantata "Yggdrasil" (according to The Oxford English Reference Dictionary from Scandinavian mythology, a huge ash tree located at the centre of the earth, literally Odin's [Yggr] horse [drasil]), etc.
