Bert Kalmar  (1884-1947)

According to the Internet source given below, Bert Kalmar (born in New York) was an American vaudeville magician, comedian, dancer before becoming a lyricist and publisher.
He collaborated with Harry Puck both in song writing and publishing forming Kalmar & Puck Music Co. Inc. They were joined by Maurice Abrahams to form Kalmar, Puck & Abrahams.
He also teamed with Harry Ruby.. Kalmar was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1970.
He died in Los Angeles, California.
