Francesco Geminiani  (1679-1762)

According to The New Penguin Dictionary of Music, Francesco Geminiani was an Italian violinist, composer (violin, sonatas, trios, and works of the concerto gross type, etc.), and author of a famous treatise on violin-playing. Pupil of Arcangelo Corelli. After 1714 lived partly in England, and died in Dublin.
