According to the Internet source given below, Niels Viggo Bentzon was a Danish composer and pianist born in Copenhagen.
He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen under Knud Jeppesen and Christian Christiansen and then taught at The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and at The Royal Danish Academy. His compositions include 24 symphonies, operas, ballets, concertos, string quartets, and many piano works. Probably the most significant of these are separate sets of preludes and fugues, known as The Tempered Piano.
He died in Copenhagen.
