Abel Baer  (1893-1976)

According to the Internet source given below, Abel Baer was an American songwriter born in Baltimore, Maryland.
He graduated at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, specialising in dentistry. but left medicine after serving in World War I. to become a songwriter working for Leo Feist.
Baer's collaborators include Louis Wolfe Gilbert, Stanley Adams, Cliff Friend, Sam M. Lewis and Mabel Wayne.
After moving to Hollywood in 1929, he contributed songs to Paramount on Parade, True to the Navy and Frozen Justice. On Broadway, he provided the scores for the musicals Lady Do and Old Bill M.P.
