According to the Internet source given below, Charles Argersinger was an American composer and teacher. He obtained a Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota in 1979 with Dominick Argento, He taught at California State University, DePaul University and at Washington State University.
Of brass interest is his award of the 1995 United Nations first prize for a brass fanfare celebrating the 50th anniversary of the U.N. and his trumpet solo Shells. (1988).
