p_spinners.jpgAccording to the Internet source given below, The Spinners were a Liverpool folk group England formed in 1958. and disbanded in 1988. In its time the group was unusual having had a multiracial membership.
They produced over forty albums, and made numerous concerts and TV appearances. In 1970, they were given their own television show on BBC One that ran for seven years. They comprised:
  • Tony Davis (1930-2017)
  • Mick Groves (1936-)
  • Cliff Hall (1925-2008)
  • Hughie Jones (1936-)
