Very little can presently (March 2021) be gleaned about
Amy Lyster from sheet music covers and by Internet searching. She has been featured on 3 works published between 1893 and 1894. and has been described on various playbills as a "charming serio and dancer" (South London Palace, Lambeth. Variety Performance, 1892 ) and as a Serio-Comedienne and Characteristic Vocalist (Argyle Theatre of Varieties, Birkenhead, Monday 1st November, 1897).
Patently an artiste of some importance, she was given a benefit in 1895 at the Britannia Theatre, Hoxton as shown on the ticket, left.
