Leola Lucey (1888-)

Overview

An Irish born soprano, it is surprising that so little is known about Leola Lucey considering the large number of works located. All that can presently (October 2024) be gleaned about her by Internet searching is that she has made at least 26 recordings between 1917 and 1920.
It is known that Lucey gave demonstrations during which she would sing along with the Edison lab model machine to show how true its fidelity was. Her portrait on the left is taken from a postcard.
