It is surprising that so little is known about this performer considering the large number of recordings located. All that can presently (October 2024) be gleaned about Della Baker from sheet music covers and by Internet searching is that she was presumably an American soprano who has made at least 157 recordings on the Victor, Columbia labels over a twenty-year period starting in 1911. Her portrait on the left is taken from an advertisement for Don't Want to Know (1925) music by Fay Foster, words by Fred C. Bowles which was published by Theodore Presser Company, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
