The Waxies Dargle
Last updated: 11.10.23
I've certainly known the tune from childhood but never learned the lyrics until coming across them in Soodlum's 100 Irish Ballads Volume 1. It's very tuneful and the lyrics nonsensical. This is very Irish, ".... Here's a piece of advice I got from an ol' fishmonger, when food is scarce, and you see a hearse, you'll know you have died from hunger."
