Just as with The Parting Glass, I first heard "The Patriot Game" on the same Clancy Brothers record in the early sixties. Apart from it being a fine song by Dominic Behan, the line"Now as I lie here, my body all holes ..."really meant something to me as a young serviceman myself at that time. Those were the times of confrontation with Indonesia and the start of the ugliness in Vietnam.
