Lily the Pink
Last updated: 11.10.23
"Lily the Pink" is a fine piece of nonsense that I first heard from my father in the late 1940's. He sang a pretty crude version about the virtues of Lily the Pink's fantastic medicinal compound and all the mostly sexual diseases which could be cured by it. He had picked this song up either while in the army or from army personnel. The version I sing these days is the same innocuous inanity as perpetrated by the Scaffold in the late 1960's and can be found in Lily the Pink. It was, I believe a hit.
