I can remember "Joshua fit de battle of Jericho" from my childhood but didn't learn until the early 1990's when I needed more songs to extend my gospel repertoire for some gig or other. It was never one of favourites, probably because I cannot sing it as well as some other gospels and as a result I perform it but rarely. This version can be found in Lieder, Songs und Gospels 1.
