I'm a freeborn man
Last updated: 23.01.24
I got this Ewan MacColl folk-song from Brian Kelly on a faded photocopy in 1993 as he couldn't do anything with it. It probably originates from a North English chapbook, I don't know for sure.
I very much enjoy singing it myself as it matches my voice and concertina very well. The sentiments expressed are very much in keeping with my own having spent my entire adult life in foreign parts except for two and a half years in England.
