 Henery the Eighth I Am

"Henery the Eighth I Am" is a Harry Champion music-hall song that I've known from childhood. The version I sing comes from Busking for Special Occaisions. This is just the chorus that is generally sung in a medley of other similar one-verse songs. It's a great song for belting out and I particularly remember how Brian Kelly and myself on one occasion didn't go down at all with some of the public in the "Irish Pub", Schnoor in Bremen, Germany. They felt that we were much too loud and couldn't (or wouldn't) understand that that was way we sing 'em in the good old British Isles!.
The full version can be found in 60 Old-Time Variety Songs.
