Goodnight Sweetheart
Last updated: 11.10.23
"Goodnight Sweetheart" is another sentimental song from the 1930's that belongs to my childhood and could often be heard on the radio during the Second World War and the immediate post-war period. The words & music were written by Ray Noble, Jimmy Campbell and Reg Connelly. The version I sing can be found in 101 Pub Favourites for Buskers. This three-verse song is very easy to sing as only the fourth line changes as the song progresses.
This, for me "pub song", is not to be confused with Goodnight, Sweetheart, Goodnight which I both sang with Chor Courage Berne and arranged for Bremen Recorder Touring Company.
