Devilish Mary
Last updated: 11.10.23
When singing "Devilish Mary", a very amusing song by the way, I am always reminded of my kid sister, Mary, who indeed could be very devilish in a nice sort of way. I particularly like the final verse, where the singer, having a trouser-wearing dragon of a spouse, sighs and wishes :
"Now, if I ever marry again,
It'll be for love not riches
Marry a little girl 'bout two feet high
So she can't wear my britches."

This version was learned from one of Wilfried Drygala's songbooks.
