 Ah! Les crocodiles

"Ah! Les crocodiles" is the unlikely song, which at its face value is of a crocodile marching off to a war with elephants. As soon as as the elephants appear however, our brave crocodile jumps back into the river. A supreme nonsense song! It has a lovely chorus, from which the title is derived, but it is a bit of a toungue-twister for non-francophones with its Ah! Les cro-cro-cro, les cro-cro-cro, les cro-cro-di-les. The version that I play can be found in Lieder, Songs und Gospels 3.
