Come to the bower
Last updated: 11.10.23
Come to the bower is a lovely song lauding the beauties of Ireland. It came into my repertoire at the behest of Nina Kreft. Where she first heard it, I do not remember.
While the song celebrates the Irish landscape its final verses implore the listener to return to his/her homeland to fight the good fight for the island's unity.
