"Andy's gone with cattle" is a wonderful tuneful song of ageing parents on a remote selection in New South Wales coping in times of drought whilst there beloved son Andy is over the border in Queensland. I found this version in the The Bushwackers Australian Song Book kindly given to me by Steve Kelly. The lyrics are penned by the poet, Henry Lawson.
"Andy's Gone With Cattle" has been recorded by:
Priscilla Herdman on "The Water Lilly" CD(s) & MP3 Album(s)
Jerry Hallom on "Undiscovered Australia II"
Rocky River Bush Band on "Sea Boots and Swags"
