All Clouds the Sky
Last updated: 22.01.22
All Clouds the Sky was written by John Tams and formed part of Herman Heijerman's play The Good Hope. It was directed by Trevor Nunn' and performed at the National Theatre from 2001 to 2002. The song deals poignantly with North Sea fishing and the heavy price in lives lost by fishermen and their families in putting fish on the nation's meal tables. This is one of my favourites when singing it with the Tyneside Maritime Chorus.
This song may be found in the Tyneside Maritime Chorus songbook
