Twenty-one Years
Last updated: 11.10.23
"Twenty-one years" a is a bit of a dreary prison song set in Dartmoor in the first person of some poor devil up for a pretty long stint. What heinous crime he committed the song doesn't say. It's not in the same league as The Convict of Clonmel, I Wish There Were No Prisons or The Ould Triangle but I find quite pleasant to sing. This song was found, of course, in Soodlum's 100 Irish Ballads Volume 1.
