rptemmingh.jpgAccording to the Internet source given below, Stefan Temmingh comes from a Dutch-South-African family of musicians. He was born in Cape Town and now lives in Munich. There, he studied with Markus Zahnhausen as well as with Prof. Michael Schneider in Frankfurt.
As an Early Music specialist he plays internationally with his baroque ensemble at renowned festivals and concert series. As a soloist he plays with various baroque, chamber and symphony orchestras in Europe, Asia and Africa. He also initiates and participates in numerous projects and premieres of contemporary music.
In 2008 Stefan Temmingh was awarded the Scholarship for New Music of the City of Munich.
