Stephan Schrader

rpschrader.jpgStephan Schrader was born on 10th October, 1954 in Freiburg, Breisgau, Germany. His first instrument was the recorder (at the age of 6). Whilst still a child, he went on to learn the violin and flute at the Freie Waldorfschule, Bremen. He studied initially at the Musikhochschule, Bremen and completed his studies in Vienna in 1981. Stephan Schrader also went to Amsterdam becoming a student of Walter van Hauwe.
He is presently leads a number of recorder ensembles in North Germany and leads annual musical holidays organised by Music Viva, Wiesbaden.
