According to the website given below, Lorenzo Cavasanti was born in Genoa in 1964 and studied recorder at Civica Scuola di Musica, Milan, as a pupil of Pedro Memelsdorff and oboe at the Conservatorio N. Paganini, Genoa, as a pupil of G.E. Cortese. He then specialised in recorder and baroque flute being a student of Frans Brüggen, Kees Boeke and Bartold Kuijken. He additionally studied renaissance music with G. Garrido.
Lorenzo Cavasanti has been invited to festivals in Italy, Austria, Romania and France. He is a founder member of the groups Tripla Concordia (1987) and Janas (1997), and he participates in various chamber groups such as "Le Concert des Nations", "Europa Galante" and "I Sonatori della Gioiosa Marca". He has also recorded several works with Tripla Concordia.
