Just Because I'm From Missouri is an early Chicago work the copyright of which was obtained by Buck & Carney in 1903 before being transferred to Frank K. Root in 1904. The song itself is of an unhappy coloured gentlemen, plagued by ill luck wishing for an early demise. The cause of his ill luck was the mere fact of hailing from and having been born in Missouri State. This recorder adaptation is not particularly demanding and benefits from being accompanied by a vocalist.
Just Because I'm From Missouri was published by Frank K. Root and Co., Chicago, Illinois, USA.
