Dance of the Wild Flowers is a pleasant affair, charming in its simplicity, which fairly bubbles along in common time. It is of an AABBACCA rondo form with a 5-bar introduction. The B strain has 8 bars whilst the A and C strains are of 16 bars. The C-strain has a nice touch where the tune flows between the melody and rhythm sections.
In making this recorder adaptation, the editor gratefully acknowledges Leonard Kaufer, collector of Percy Wenrich music in San Jose, California, for generously providing access to his materials.
Dance of the Wild Flowers was published by McKinley Music Co., Chicago & New York, USA.
A tempo of 120 crotchets/min. is suggested.
There is also a tenor solo version of this item.
