Look and ListenLength: approx. 2¼ mins. Optional vocals (tenor), words by Edward Madden.
Sounds best if 2nd tenor is doubled. Silver Bell is yet another "Indian Girl" song that fed the craze in its day. Madden's lyrics are achingly sentimental and well matched by Wenrich's melody and chorus. If tubular bells are available then it is very effective to use them instead of tenor recorders for the chords in bars 15-16, 28, 30 and 36.
Silver Bellwas published by Jerome H. Remick & Co., New York & Detroit, USA.
A tempo of 104 crotchets/minute is suggested.
