Length: approx. 3¾ mins. Sounds best if the 2nd tenor plays the lower notes of chords only.
In its day, Peaches and Cream was extremely popular and, as mentioned above made its mark on the ragtime scene. Subtitled A Delectable Rag, it is certainly in keeping with the charming young lady, dare I say it - a peach, depicted in appropriate pastel tones on the front cover of the original sheet music. This is a straightforward "classic" rag in AABBCCDD form with pleasant strains. The 1st tenor will enjoy taking over the melody in the BB section as well as the lead into the CC section.
Peaches and Cream was published by McKinley Music Co., Chicago & New York, USA.
A tempo of 86 crotchets/min. is suggested.
