Length: approx. 3¼ mins.
Ripples Rag is indeed a rippling affair. Its form is AABBACDC whereby the AB- and CD- strains are in the major keys of C and F respectively. This is just the thing for recorder ensembles that like to alternate their instruments. In this case the 2nd tenor in particular has plenty to do in alternating both to treble and bass. The 1st bass is not left out either having some passages to be played on a tenor instrument.
Ripples Rag was published by Peerless Music Pub. Co., Janesville, Wisconsin, USA.
A tempo of 80 crotchets/min. is suggested.
