Length: approx. 2¼ mins. Optional vocals (tenor), words by Joseph McCarthy:
Castle of Dreams was performed in the Broadway production Irene of 1919, a musical comedy by James Montgomery. The melody is adapted from Fryderyk F. Chopin's Minute Waltz and the lyrics philosophise on whilling the time away by day dreaming. There is a amiable dig at the gentle sex whereby the singer finds it a shame that girls cannot daydream more than twelve hours a day.
Castle of Dreams was published by Leo Feist, New York, USA.
