Whirl Wind is another fine Robinson rag and has the classic ragtime form of AABBACCDD with a 4-bar introduction whereby the AB- and CD-strains are written in the major keys of C and F respectively. In this adaptation for recorder sextet, the melodies are shared 3/1 by the treble and 1st tenor voices.
The cover of the original sheet music shows an elegant lady walking her diminutive dog at the epicentre of a whirlwind of swirling leaves.
Whirl Wind was published by Stark Music Co, St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
A tempo of 80 crotchets/min. is suggested.
