This "Sonata in G" by Johann Christoph Pepusch was amongst the first purchases that I made whilst still a young Petty Officer on H.M.S. Victorious in Januaryl 1965. The suite compises an Adagio, Allegro, Adagio, and Allegro. It is a relatively easy piece, best with a tenor recorder for my taste, which I have always hoped some day to play. The first Allegro has some pretty hairy runs to keep an amateur player on his or her toes.
