Meet Me In St. Louis, Louis, probably one of Mills' greatest hits, celebrating the St. Louis State Fair in 1904 it was sung by all the great popular music singers and entertainers of the day. It is an easy-to-play and understand composition which is really a quite simple and amusing song well suited for recorder ragtime beginners. In the original score, Mills takes pains to point out that in every instance, "Louis" is pronounced "Louie".
