Reindeer Rag is another beautiful Lamb ragtime composition in the "classical" form of a 4-bar introduction followed by AABBA (G-major) and then CCDD (C-major). Each of the 4 strains has a distinct character, all "raggy" and complex - a work for the purists!
Reindeer Rag was published by the Stark Music Co, St. Louis, Missouri, USA.
Although Lamb himself set the tempo of 100 crotchets/min. (unseemly haste for "Not fast"!), 80-90 crotchets/min. is suggested.
There are also tenor solo and sextet versions of this item.
