Length: approx. 3½ mins.
All the Money was written by Johnson using the pseudonym Raymond Birch. It is probably one of his finest pieces - as a bass player I certainly appreciate the fun, especially in the first section not only having a good old thump but also a driving melodic line. How this piece became to be so titled remains lost to ragtime history but perhaps an answer can be gleaned from the original sheet music front cover. The elegant young lady, whilst not perhaps a typical Gibson girl, and the fine groomed hound depicted certainly appear expensive enough. The look in her eye and outstretched hand is are further pointers!
All the Money was published by Chas. L. Johnson Publishing Co., Kansas City, Missouri, USA.
A tempo of 85 crotchets/min. is suggested.
