The Tennessee Tantalizer [sic] in question is no doubt the giant water melon that is the centre of admiration as seen on the front cover of the original sheet music. That the indefinite article was used for the title suggests that water melons are not the only tantalisers to be found in that noble Volunteer State. This is a "classic" rag with an ABBCAB form using the major flatted keys of F and Bb.
