This is a very personal trio as I copied it by hand from a barely readable hand-written document in the possession of Jim Randal, Radio Electrical Artificer on H.M.S. Victorious sometime in 1963-4. It has only been played by me a few times and I have even to this day not seen it in print. It comprises a Sonatina (giocoso), Rondo Pastorale (andante amabile in ABACA form) and Menuet.
I would dearly and romantically like to think that this item has been in circulation in hand-written form in the Royal Navy since James Hook's days. Perhaps some erudite surfer out there knows more and could perhaps tell me if it has ever been published.
