I was introduced to this work for a double quartet by Stephan Schrader at a wonderful weekend seminar mentioned in the anecdote to The Recorder Consort. It has a delightful canon-type beginning with the first six bars being played by first quartet starting initially with descant, the other voices joining-in in succession in the following three bars. There is a brief hand-over in bar 7 whereby the second quartet takes over the theme whilst the first quartet remains silent. This characterises this work in that for the greater part, one group plays whilst the other is silent or whereby one group has the theme and the other plays harmonic chords. Great stuff!!
