Length: approx. 4 mins. Sounds best with the bass doubled.
Daniels wrote Hearts of Gold using the pseudonym L' Albert. The form of the march is a straightforward AABBCCDD with a 4-bar introduction whereby the AB- and CD-strains are written in the major keys of Bb and Eb respectively. The front cover of the original sheet music is illustrated appropriately winged Cupids making up a bouquet of hearts and roses. The march itself is a bright and breezy affair which will no doubt delight performers and audiences alike.
Hearts of Gold was published by Jerome H. Remick & Co., New York & Detroit, USA.
A tempo of 150 crotchets/min. is suggested.
