Length: approx. 4 mins.
Affinity Rag is a very pretty piece which really should be played slow. The exquisite close harmony between the treble and tenor is pure joy to behold and no doubt aurally represents the "affinity" depicted by the charming couple depicted on the front cover of the original sheet music. The bass should plug along precisely and unobtrusively whilst appreciating the delights unfolding in the melody section.
A tempo of 60 crotchets/min. is suggested.
Affinity Rag was published by J.W. Jenkins' Sons Music Co., Kansas City, Missouri, USA.
There are also treble solo and quintet versions of this item.
