Bremen-Vegesack, "House-Concert" with Lynne Fitzpatrick and Stephan Schrader 6th July 2001
The Company was greatly honoured to welcome Lynne Priest Fitzpatrick, a professional flute and recorder player hailing from Washington, DC to Bremen-Vegesack and to take part in an impromptu "House Concert". Lynne was then touring Europe and visited Germany and Holland.
Together with
Jutta Köster, A.N. Other (Syke),
Imke Wellmann,
Mechthild Schrader-Rau,
Stephan Schrader and
Geoff Grainger a programme was performed informally before a slightly larger number of invited guests as an "audience". Using motor racing analogies we
"warmed up" with:
Tea For Two by
Vincent Millie Youmans
Chattanooga Choo Choo by
Harry Warren
"got into gear with
Concerto D-Moll Nr. 6 by
Joseph Bodin de Boismortier
"reached racing speed with
Take Five by
Paul Desmond
Tango Für Elise by
Paul Leenhouts
New Rag by
Scott Joplin
Ragtime Dance by Scott Joplin
Chicken Chowder Rag (1905) by
Irene M. Giblin
and finally
"wound down" with:
Whistling Rufus by
Kerry Mills and
Moonlight Serenade by
Glenn Miller.
All in all, a wonderful hot summer's evening!
